A Very Pirate-y Day

On Sunday, I took Mom and Dad up to Portland to see some pirate ships. It was great fun being packed around the waterfront.
The Lady Washington (closest to the docks) is best known for her roll as the Black Pearl in the movie Pirates of the Carribean.
Me and Daddy wanted this job. Posted by Picasa

Puzzled

It's been a long time since my last post. I've been a little tied up, as you can see. My grandma Phyllis got me this great big foam puzzle, and I love to wear it.

Remembering Tera

Tera was a woman of tremendous faith who inspired all around her with her caring spirit. She will be missed by all who knew her. As a counselor, Tera often touched the lives of hurting people in her work. She was especially moved when she and Phil visited World Vision's Gulu Rehabilitation Center for Children of War in Uganda in April 2006. Tera hoped to be able to return to Gulu for the specific purpose of providing counseling and care for the counselors who pour themselves out each day on behalf of the children. In celebration of Tera's life, the family would like to invite you to make a donation in Tera's memory to help the children, and the staff who serve them, at the World Vision Gulu Rehabilitation Center for Children of War. Your gift of love will help make a lasting difference in the lives of these children and serve as a legacy of love and hope, in the name of Christ, and in honor of Tera. If you would like to give a gift online in memory of Tera, please visit www.firstgiving.com/RememberingTera .

Ridin' Along in my Automobile

My daddy's friend Scott graduated from Willamette University last weekend. We went to his house for a party, and he let me play around in his car.
Grandpa Tom, I forgot to ask what I was driving. I got "red!" and "car!" Which are important, but details are important too. I'll bet you can figure it out though. Posted by Picasa

Play Time

My friend Soren came for a Sleep Over Tuesday night. We played hide and seek in the curtains.

And climbed the dirt pile in the back yard. It was so fun!

A little of my German heritage showing through after playing in the dirt. Posted by Picasa

Me, Daddy, and Soren chill while Mommy gets some stuff done. Posted by Picasa

A Post From Mommy

Benton was kind enough to allow me some precious blog space to show off my "new" furnature and the fireplace which is finally finished!

Play Time!

Last night, I took Mom and Dad to the park. It was really fun! I was in my element, I tell you. Fresh air, sunshine, toys, and a whole bunch of people to visit with... I went down the slide all by myself! And yes, I really am having fun in that last picture!

I'm Back!

Daddy got a new camera and he's letting my photographer use it until something better comes along. It's quite a relief being back in the lime-light! Posted by Picasa
On Sunday I went to the coast with Mommy and Daddy. It was a beautiful day, but very windy!! Posted by Picasa
I loved watching the birds and the kite--which I thought was a really big bird. Posted by Picasa
It was so windy, I could hardly stand up! Posted by Picasa

Hangin' Out

Saturday Mommy and I went to Emma's house so Mommy, Aunt Snook and Jenni (Nenni, as I call her) could scrapbook. Posted by Picasa

All grown up

It occured to me that I never posted the picture Mommy picked. Am I not a handsome mess of trouble? If you didn't get a picture yet, let Mommy know. She has lots! Posted by Picasa

From the Editor

Hello. Benton's Mommy here. I must share with you two things. 1. Vacation pictures are on The Attic which you can get to by clicking the link on the right. We had an awesome time, but its good to be home where we can drink the water. 2. The last day of our journey, the camera battery went kaput. Dead in the water. No juice what so ever. This affects you because it means no new pictures of Benton until the new battery comes in the mail. I sincerely hope none of you will perish in the mean time. Keep checking. It shouldn't be long! I'll post stuff from the archives until the camera gets fixed. Love you all!

When the parents are away....

Mommy and Daddy are off for some fun in the Mexican sun. They've left me at Black Lake Bible Camp to fend for myself--with a little help from Grandma and Grandpa. Perhaps the saddest thing of all is you won't see more of me for a whole week! Check The Attic though. Mommy will (try to) keep it updated with their vacation saga. Posted by Picasa

Chillin'

Here's another one Mommy didn't pick. She found the green a tad too obnoxious. Posted by Picasa

Dude!

I'm 18 months old today, and I celebrated by doing a little surfing. Just kidding. This is actually posed, if you can believe it. I know this is a sweet picture, but Mommy didn't choose it. I guess you'll have to stay tuned to see that one. (Sorry the picture quality is so bad. You get what you pay for...). Posted by Picasa
