Yesturday, Emma came over to play. We had a nice time, though Emma really needs to learn how to share. (OK, maybe I do too, but they were my toys, right?) Posted by Picasa
Our moms thought we were pretty cute in our matching outfits. Posted by Picasa
Dad and I had a drumming lesson last night. It was really fun. We made all kinds of racket! Dad got a new drum set for church and it came with an extra snare drum in my size. It will be a while before I can play in church, but until then, I'll keep bangin'! Posted by Picasa
Thank you and goodnight! Posted by Picasa

My friends Brent and Chanda went to Cancun, Mexico between hurricanes and they brought me back this cool bird hat. Mom tried to convince me it was real, but I know my birds, and they are not made out of foam. I'm not sure Mommy's all there, if you know what I mean... Posted by Picasa

Dinner Out

Mom and Dad left me with Grandma and Grandpa last night to go out with some friends. They went to the Charthouse in Portland, and Mommy told me they had a perfectly lovely grrown-up evening. (It doesn't sound like much fun to me). They were all celebrating Sandra's birthday--visiting all the way from Malta! Here's a list of the attendees: Mom and Dad, Vance and Alicia, Stephanie and Justin, Layth and Betsy, Joe and Sandra, Brent and Chanda. It was nice meeting you Sandra! Thank you for the teddy bear! Posted by Picasa

My great-grandpa went to heaven to be with Jesus last night. I wish I could have gotten to know him a little better, but Mommy promised to tell me lots of stories. She's going to miss him a lot, and so is the rest of my family. He was very special. Can't you see how much he loved me and Emma?  Posted by Picasa

Only in my room would these jammies be considered camoflaged! The diguise sure comes in handy for fishing. Posted by Picasa

We just got back from Seaside with Grandma and Grandpa Lunde. It was a lot of fun. My first order of buisiness was to invade Grandma's soda stash. Posted by Picasa
Yum! Cream Soda! Posted by Picasa
I trapped Grandpa on the balcony. Posted by Picasa
Swimming in the rain!  Posted by Picasa
We went for a very early morning walk on the beach. I'd been up since 3, I don't know why Mom and Dad thought 7 was so early. Posted by Picasa
The sunrise over Seaside. Posted by Picasa
Daddy found a perfect sand dollar. Posted by Picasa
When we left, I took care of the luggage. Posted by Picasa

Reflections of a One-Year-Old

Food: Do you have any idea what I've been missing eating that baby food? The stuff Mom and Dad eat is so much better! I like salsa (in moderation) and eggs, and chicken soup, and gingersnaps, and cupcakes...I'm also drinking out of a sippy cup now. I feel very adult. Last week, I went out for coffee with my parents. We all sat on the couch and had our drinks and read magazines. It was pretty great.
Toys: I was pretty happy with the simple things in life ( package of napkins, a measuring cup, some plastic bowls) until I had my birthday. Now my toys have lights and bells and run on and on and on with batteries. Mommy's not sure any of our friends actually like us. I would have to say, clearly they do!
Accomplishments: I'm developing quite the vocabulary. I can say "uh-oh," "Yay," "da da," "hey you," "all done," and I'm working on "I love you." I'm also trying to take a few tentative steps on my own. I've walked by myself quite a bit now, but Mom and Dad have to trick me into it. (I don't like falling, so I'm reluctant to venture out on my own). I really enjoy exploring. If there is a dark place or an intriguing corner, sign me up! I want to see it.
I go in for my check-up on Thursday, so I'll let you know then how big and strong I have gotten. Until then, this growing boy needs a nap! "I love you!"
Here are the results of my most recent photo shoot. Please browse through and let my mom know which one you want by leaving a comment. She'll pick up the pictures next week, so you'll have one for your wallet/fridge/prominent place on your wall before too long! If you want to see the ones Mom didn't pick, let her know and she'll e-mail you the info. (This is a good one of some of my teeth) Posted by Picasa
Mom says I look deceptively tranquil in this one. It's only available in sepia though. Sorry I don't have a preview of that available just yet. Posted by Picasa
This is a re-run, but I thought I'd better put it up again so you'd remember it as one of your choices. Posted by Picasa

Today is the morning after my big Pirate Birthday Party. It was a lot of fun. I got to dress up like a little swashbuckler. Mommy and Daddy made me a treasure chest, and Daddy drew this cool treasure map... Posted by Picasa
